Two weeks today I was given a cataract operation and I am absolutely over the moon with the results. Right from my initial visit for a eye check which was done very thoroughly by Mr Panthageni and I was explained everything about the treatment, then going into Glendon Wood again first class treatment by everyone and I even got a nurse call after a week to see how I was doing then at 10 days Mr Panthagini called me himself. This could not have been better if I was a private patient.

Mr Panthagani is very professional, polite and puts you at ease. He answers any questions or queries you may have.

The environment and the staff couldn't be better. Everything was perfect. The procedure I had (cataract removal) was perfectly executed in comparison to a similar procedure at another hospital when it took longer, and I couldn't see for 3 days. Here, I could see so much better within minutes. I am absolutely thrilled to bits. It couldn't have gone better. 5 stars to the surgeon, Mr Panthagani, and all the staff. Thank you so much.

Well what can , Mr Panthagani did my second cataract and the experience has been nothing but perfect, he has been helpful and accommodating all the way through. I know what lens I wanted before I went to see Mr Panthagani which was to be the same as my other eye and he agreed although he show me all me option beforehand. So the surgery was book for a few weeks later and on the day he clammed my nerves and reassured me all the way through the surgery and told me what was happening also all the staff were friendly and in the operating room it was a uplifting experience with music and happy vibe which just made everything a lot better. Now 1 week on I am pleased to say it was a success and have 20/20 version in the operated eye and I am over the moon. I had my 2nd eye cataract surgery on 21/08/25 and this was a very successful operation. This was a wonderful experience as the team at Glendon Hospital were simply superb from start to finish. They were very professional in their approach, explained the process well, were reassuring and put me at ease. The team ensured that I was well looked after during the procedure and afterwards. I was given adequate information and leaflets post the operation. I also received a phone call from a nurse and subsequently from the eye specialist consultant to address any concerns and to ensure that I was healing nicely. I am delighted with the results of my cataract operation and my wonderful vision with the new lenses. I had worn gas permeable contact lenses for 60 years and I always hated wearing glasses. I felt that it was vanity making me consider having premium cataract surgery and I was worried about the safety of it at the age of 81. Niamh persuaded me that the operation was very suitable for long term contact lens wearers and on meeting Mr Panthagani he quickly dispelled all my fears. He is so calm and careful in his explanations and I immediately felt I was in very capable hands. I was nervous on the day but all the staff involved were so kind and encouraging and now, four days later, my distance vision is perfect and my near sight is nearly perfect and I know it is getting better day by day. If you’re thinking about have LASIK, go for it! After having it now I really wish I’d had it done sooner. I’ve been wearing contact lenses and glasses for 27 years and I still can’t believe that I won’t need those again! I’m writing this 4 days after my treatment and I’m still waking up everyday amazed that I can see without specs! I cannot fault the way that Jesse and his team have looked after me from my initial appointment to my post treatment care. Jesse and everyone that has spoken to me on the way has been extremely informative, thorough with pre examinations and at the end of the phone should I have any questions. On the day of the LASIK I was a little nervous but everyone was so kind and reassuring. Jesse spoke to me throughout the whole procedure and made the process calming and relaxing. I needn’t have been nervous because the whole thing was completely and utterly pain free and over in roughly 20mins! And as soon as I got off of the bed I could see - it was absolutely incredible! On my journey home I kept pointing out things to my husband and saying “oh wow I can read that!” Jesse saw me the next day to check how my eyes were and after reading out the letters on the screen he told me that my vision was better than 20/20! I’ve not experienced that in a long time. From start to finish, absolutely AMAZING!! My initial consultation (due to cataracts) was put forward by my local optician. I was in consultation within 6 weeks. Then, following my consultation with (the very pleasant) Mr. Panthagani, I decided to go for the multi focal lens replacement. The procedure was private, rather than having a standard lens on the NHS. All sectors of the staff who aided me on my eye opening experience were incredible, they were polite, reassuring and very professional. I’m trying to keep this short, but would thoroughly recommend this clinic time and time again. BRAVO TO THE WHOLE TEAM!!!

I’d just like to start by saying I had been delaying an inevitable surgery on my eyes called Crosslinking for a couple of years through fear of (or lack of) aftercare. I initially met Mr Panthagani through Hinchingbrooke Hospital and found his private practice online following such a positive experience.. Understanding of my apprehension Mr Panthagani rang me and discussed the process in depth answering my particularly obscure questions with patience and showed a lot of compassion. His quiet confidence really put me at ease and I felt he was really looking at what would be best for my specific circumstances/eye disease. I’ve seen a few Opthalmic Consultants over the years and I really feel a select few were of such patient focused care. Throughout the procedure I felt really calm, each step explained (as per my preference) and patient care exceeded expectation. From point of enquiry right through into aftercare. My experience of having both cataracts treated by Jesse Panthagani has been very positive. JP is warm, friendly and reassuring, and professional. Having had cataract surgery a week ago I am very happy with the result. My vision is so much better. It is miraculous. Mr Panthagani carried out an operation on my right eye on 20th March. The operation was carried out to replace the lense. This was very successful. As a result I had my left eye operated on , 23rd April. One week later I have been informed by Mr Panthagani both eyes are healing well so goodbye glasses!!! I had a caterac removed from both of my eyes, the right eye on 11/12/24 followed by ny right eye on 20/3/25. On each occasion I was treated with respect, empathy and politeness from the moment I arrived until I left. The nursing staff were friendly, helpful and informative and put me at ease in what was a uncertain situation. The procedure was explained to me in ' non' medical terms and all my questions were answered in language that I understood by Mr Panthagani who spoke to me as I waited for the initial anaesthetic to do it's work. Both procedures which were carried out by Mr J Panthagani went very well and again, i was talked through everything as the procedure took place with both taking approximately 20 mins I left the operating theatre with a clear perspect eye covering in a wheelchair ( safety protocol ) and taken back to the waiting room. I was provided with tea and biscuits and Mr Panthagani came to ask how I felt( did I have pain I my eye/headache) of which i had none. A nurse arrived to go through my after care( eye drops/ hand cleaning/ washing and drying of the eye patch which I had to wear for 10 nights; the possible need for sunglasses and the need not to get tap water in my eye or to bend down) I was given my eye drops and a comprehensive information pack. A member of staff telephoned my family to arrange for me to be picked up. Initiali was anxious about this procedure but thanks to all the staff my fears were unfounded A nurse rang me on both occasions to make sure I was not having any problems and Mr Panthagani rang me on 1/4/25 to make sure all is well So after 54 years of wearing glasses, I now see the world in a brighter light thanks to the surgeons skill , and experience & knowledge of the nursing staff. Many thanks to all concerned.
