Mr Panthagani, had to perform cataract surgery on both my eyes over a period off a few weeks. He explained everything very clearly about the procedure and the risks (due to other conditions). At no time did i feel pressured or uncomfortable about having the procedures. Everything from start to finish was professional and painless with excellent after care and follow up appointments. Mr. Panthagani took me on as a patient after an unfortunate series of operations had left me with severe anisometropia - eyes with such different focal prescriptions that they couldn't work together. After discussing my needs and preferences, Mr. Panthagani performed laser refractive surgery on one eye and cataract lens replacement surgery on the other. Today at my first post-operation eyesight test my regular optometrist has determined an identical prescription for each eye. My sight feels restored, and the prescription confirms it. A total success.

Very calming and professional experience from pre surgery, surgery to post surgery. All aspects including timing of surgery were discussed at examinations level to answer questions like why not earlier nor later surgical procedure. Optimum time I was told is the key to achieving best results after surgery which augurs well for good recovery time. Had a bit of discomfort in the eye when lights are switched on at home after surgery; but on the morning after surgery all was good, and my sight was crystal clear as a new baby. Post surgery is also brilliant with calls from nurse and surgeon to reassure me of complete recovery.❤️‍🩹

Mr Panthagani completed cataract surgery on my left eye last week. I was very happy with the surgery itself. No pain or discomfort and I couldn’t even tell what the surgeon was doing to my eye. The team were very pleasant and efficient and treated me like an individual although they had a number of patients undergoing the same procedure. The team made sure I knew what to do post-operation. The sight in my eye has improved enormously. It is sharp and clear. I have had no pain or discomfort. Using the eye drops is a bit fiddly. I wish I had practiced with other eye drops before I had to use those prescribed!! A member of the team and Mr Panthagani have telephoned since the operation to ensure all is progressing well. I’m actually looking forward to surgery on my right eye soon.

I wanted to have my eyes looked at because of family history and the fact that I felt in 2025 they had been getting worse and of cause I don’t like pwearing glasses. After a visit with Jesse I immediately felt at ease. My eyes needed doing and it was the highest spec so not cheap but, after the surgery I would not change it for a thing my eyes are great and I can actually see them in the mirror. When I went back I could read the smallest print I was overwhelmed with the results. For those who are thinking of it go for it, yea you get nervous it was a doddle, he talked you through it and made you feel reassured and relaxed. I felt no pain or discomfort in fact it was very interesting. Afterwards yes I had pain with the lights and some dry eye, nothing that would put you off, just don’t look into the light. Mr Panthagani explained, in detail, all of the options that were available in terms of eye surgery and then gave sound advice as to which was most appropriate for husband. He was able to book an appointment at very short notice. The surgery was efficient and he was advised of follow up actions. His recovery was quick and at the follow up meeting a week after the surgery he was pleased to hear that his vision is now better than 20:20. During the process, we received frequent contact and support from Monica, Mr Panthagani’s assistant. I’m very pleased with everything that took place and willingly recommend having a consultation with Mr Panthagani.

Life changing, truly. I went into this nervously and cautiously. Many what-ifs but I needn’t have been concerned. The procedure itself was completely pain free. For a couple of post-op days, I was seeing through imaginary net curtains, but now, after 50+ years of very poor sight, I now have better than 20/20 vision. A couple of things have surprised me even further. Colours are much more vivid - who knew that the aging process dulls vision colour?! And the local anaesthetic used during the op was administered by eye drops. Incredible. Thank you Mr P.

At my consultation my eyes were photographed many times to see what was required, then I was given three options ad asked if I would like both eyes done at the same time which surprised me. I was given a date the next week for the operation (so quick). On the day of the operation I was rather nervous. I had drops put in and saw a nurse then Mr Panthagani called me in and told my daughter I'd be back in 45 minutes. The operation was completely painless, just a matter of laying still and looking at a light with my face covered. He then moved over to the other eye. I was back out in 45 minutes for a post op' talk and given some drops to be put in for a month and that was it. The result is fantastic, I can see the computer now and everything to the distance, just need glasses for the really close work, that was explained at the beginning, wonderful result.

I would like to commend Mr Panthagani for his compassion and professionalism during and after surgery. I would definitely recommend him to my friends.

Had my first Cataract surgery two weeks ago. The day after the surgery I was absolutely amazed. I could see much better, everything was brighter, colours more vivid, etc. Truly amazing. Over the last few years I have been building up the courage to have lens replacement surgery. I had age related issues with my sight which had started to impact on my sport (golf), driving and day to day life. My optician recommended Jesse Panthagani as a leader in his field so 5 weeks ago I decided to take the jump. The initial video consultation with his manager was extremely informative and from there I booked my consultation at Glendon Wood. I was still nervous as this was a lifestyle choice and not a medical need. Jesse was clearly very knowledgeable, and extremely personable. He reassured me and explained what he could do for me. Less than a week later I found myself on the operating table having my procedure in both eyes. The whole experience was amazing, no pain, plenty of reassurance and caring staff and within two hours I was on the train on my way home. I have had follow up calls from Jesse's team to check on me and a follow up appointment with him 7 days later . I am still on drops four time a day but so far so good and it has been money well spent. I now have 20-20 vision again! I would highly recommend Jesse to any of my friends or family

I was given the best of attention and treatment throughout. From first being referred to now (one week after the procedure). The actual procedure was performed calmly and swiftly approximately 20mins. I was relaxed and felt no pain. Perhaps a little discomfort but nothing like one might expect. All good now and I look forward to the next few weeks when there will be more gradual improvement.

Having been referred to Jesse by my optician, I was unsure what would happen and what to expect. Jesse put me at ease straight away. He identified that not only did I have an issue with my cataracts, I also had astigmatism. I chose the toric multi focal lenses, so I would be able to see close up and distance. He also said he would do both eyes at the same time, which I hadn’t heard of before. The operation in Leicester went really well, with no issues from the minute I walked in the door, to now, one week on, following my follow up appointment. I was able to see very clearly within 24 hours of the operation and able to read number plates from a distance. I cannot express how grateful I am to Jesse for giving me my eye sight back! Two weeks today I was given a cataract operation and I am absolutely over the moon with the results. Right from my initial visit for a eye check which was done very thoroughly by Mr Panthageni and I was explained everything about the treatment, then going into Glendon Wood again first class treatment by everyone and I even got a nurse call after a week to see how I was doing then at 10 days Mr Panthagini called me himself. This could not have been better if I was a private patient.

Well what can , Mr Panthagani did my second cataract and the experience has been nothing but perfect, he has been helpful and accommodating all the way through. I know what lens I wanted before I went to see Mr Panthagani which was to be the same as my other eye and he agreed although he show me all me option beforehand. So the surgery was book for a few weeks later and on the day he clammed my nerves and reassured me all the way through the surgery and told me what was happening also all the staff were friendly and in the operating room it was a uplifting experience with music and happy vibe which just made everything a lot better. I had my 2nd eye cataract surgery on 21/08/25 and this was a very successful operation. This was a wonderful experience as the team at Glendon Hospital were simply superb from start to finish. I was given adequate information and leaflets post the operation. I am delighted with the results of my cataract operation and my wonderful vision with the new lenses. I had worn gas permeable contact lenses for 60 years and I always hated wearing glasses. I felt that it was vanity making me consider having premium cataract surgery and I was worried about the safety of it at the age of 81. Niamh persuaded me that the operation was very suitable for long term contact lens wearers and on meeting Mr Panthagani he quickly dispelled all my fears. He is so calm and careful in his explanations and I immediately felt I was in very capable hands. I was nervous on the day but all the staff involved were so kind and encouraging and now, four days later, my distance vision is perfect and my near sight is nearly perfect and I know it is getting better day by day. If you’re thinking about have LASIK, go for it! After having it now I really wish I’d had it done sooner. I’ve been wearing contact lenses and glasses for 27 years and I still can’t believe that I won’t need those again! I’m writing this 4 days after my treatment and I’m still waking up everyday amazed that I can see without specs! I cannot fault the way that Jesse and his team have looked after me from my initial appointment to my post treatment care. Jesse and everyone that has spoken to me on the way has been extremely informative, thorough with pre examinations and at the end of the phone should I have any questions. On the day of the LASIK I was a little nervous but everyone was so kind and reassuring. Jesse spoke to me throughout the whole procedure and made the process calming and relaxing. I needn’t have been nervous because the whole thing was completely and utterly pain free and over in roughly 20mins! And as soon as I got off of the bed I could see - it was absolutely incredible! From start to finish, absolutely AMAZING!! My initial consultation (due to cataracts) was put forward by my local optician. I was in consultation within 6 weeks. Then, following my consultation with (the very pleasant) Mr. Panthagani, I decided to go for the multi focal lens replacement. The procedure was private, rather than having a standard lens on the NHS. All sectors of the staff who aided me on my eye opening experience were incredible, they were polite, reassuring and very professional. I’m trying to keep this short, but would thoroughly recommend this clinic time and time again. BRAVO TO THE WHOLE TEAM!!!

I initially met Mr Panthagani through Hinchingbrooke Hospital and found his private practice online following such a positive experience.. I would highly recommend Mr. Panthagani for eye surgery and a follow up double cataract removal. He makes sure that he explains everything in fine detail about your eyes and what will happen during surgery. He puts you at ease and in follow up consultations spends time talking through the procedure and what is next. He has a good patient manner who listens and understands. The whole experience was stress free. Mr Panthagani was friendly, reassuring and professional. He answered all my questions and was very clear in explaining how it all works and what he will do. My experience of having both cataracts treated by Jesse Panthagani has been very positive. JP is warm, friendly and reassuring, and professional. Due to my short-sightedness and astigmatism, he recommended a specific lens, which has worked well: my vision today is better than it has ever been (I started wearing glasses at about age 4, so tbh I can't remember how good or bad it was then!), but the post-op improvement has been amazing. Having had cataract surgery a week ago I am very happy with the result. My vision is so much better. It is miraculous. Mr Panthagani carried out an operation on my right eye on 20th March. The operation was carried out to replace the lense. This was very successful. As a result I had my left eye operated on , 23rd April. One week later I have been informed by Mr Panthagani both eyes are healing well so goodbye glasses!!!
